Kent County has launched a program to provide Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) supplies to qualifying small businesses and other employers to assist in reopening their operations.

To qualify, employers must be located in Kent County, Michigan and must employ 100 people or fewer.

Qualifying employers may place PPE requests until funding for this program is no longer available. All qualifying requests will be entered into a random selection process.

All employers selected in the selection process will be contacted after their requests are selected and filled, and they will be told where they can pick-up their order. Requests not picked up by employers within 5 days of notification will be returned to inventory. If an employer is not initially selected, they will remain eligible until either selected or funding is no longer available.

Employers can place requests online or by calling our fulfillment company partner at (616) 245-3636 between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday. If the line is busy, the caller may leave a message with their contact information, and a representative will return the call to take the request. Calls are taken either in English or Spanish.

PLEASE NOTE: All requests are being received and processed by a third-party fulfillment company. Please do not contact Kent County or the Kent County Health Department to place or inquire about a request. Submitting this application does not guarantee fulfillment. We expect high demand, and we may not be able to fulfill all requests, so we encourage all employers to continue to search for PPE through other channels.  All requests are subject to availability.

Eye and face protection, gloves, hand sanitizer and thermometers (while supplies last)

Is there a cost for the supplies?

The supplies are free for qualified employers.

Who qualifies for this program?

All small businesses and other employers located in Kent County with up to 100 employees are eligible to apply.

What if my business is headquartered in Kent County, but I have operations outside the county? May I order PPE for the employees who work outside of Kent County?

No. We’re sorry, but program funding only allows for provision of PPE to employees in Kent County.

How can I place an order?

Orders can be placed online or by calling our fulfillment company partner at (616) 245-3636 the hours of 8 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday.  Please do not contact Kent County or Kent County Health Department to place or inquire about an order.

Are quantities limited?

Yes, quantities are limited, and all orders are subject to availability.

What if orders exceed supply?

If an employer is not  initially selected, they will remain eligible until either selected or funding is no longer available.  

How will I know if my order will be filled?

All selected employers will be contacted after their orders are selected and filled.
